About

Get the pleasure of the table back, without running a server.

Project Nat20 is an independent project born from a simple idea: a virtual tabletop should help the group play, not make them learn a piece of software before the first scene.

The direction

The feel of a board, the flexibility of the web.

Project Nat20 borrows what physical tables do best: you place a miniature, you look at the scenery, you roll real dice. The browser adds what a living room cannot offer at a distance: the same state for everyone, private assets, and a game master preparing what comes next without showing their notes.

The project was written in French first and now reads in English too, never tied to a game system, and built for the desktop. It moves in small batches verified in real conditions: the public site you are reading replaced the technical screen of the first phase.

The game before the tool

Frequent gestures must stay immediate, and the software should step aside as soon as the session begins.

No imposed rules

Project Nat20 provides a table and permissions; the group picks its system, its conventions and its pace.

Only claim what exists

A feature announced as available must be shipped and tested. Everything else keeps the status of work in progress.

A beta under construction

The product works; the service is not finished yet.

The table, multiplayer, the libraries, the signed-in space and the first administration tools are live. Plans are published without being sold during the beta; payment and opening at a larger scale remain separate pieces of work.

Your feedback shapes what comes next

The project is run by one person, with no committee and no frozen roadmap. A defect described precisely, a repeated annoyance, a function your table is missing: that is what decides the order of the work.
